Before the apostle Paul’s marvelous conversion to Christ in Acts 9, there are no hints that he would become the greatest ambassador of Jesus Christ the church has ever had. Paul stands as an example of the fact that no person is beyond saving and beyond changing. But why is this so important? Why teach a whole series about the life of this man, the apostle Paul?
Paul wrote that his salvation was a pattern to all those after him who would believe on Christ. Jesus saved Saul of Tarsus, the chief of sinners, and set him forth as a pattern for other believers in this age of grace. As we study the Bible and learn more about the life of the apostle Paul, we get a clear picture of the kind of lives that we should be living as Christians today.
